Pastors James and Sherry McElroy
James McElroy was called into the ministry at the age of 15. Pastor James serves as the coordinator for the jail and prison ministry for the Church of God in North Mississippi. He accepted the call to pastor the Grenada Church of God in July of 2011. In October of 2014, he was elected by his peers to serve as chairman of the MS Church of God State Council. James and his wife Sherry of 30 years are the proud parents of 3 Children: Chris, Justin, and Baylee.
Youth Pastors
Worship Leader Ashley Owen
Ashley has long been a part of Grenada Church of God. She has a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Delta State University and a Masters Degree in Music Education from Kent State University. She served as the music director at Pleasant Hill COG in Carthage, MS for 3 years before returning to Grenada Church of God as the Worship Leader in 2010.
Ashley is married to Jason Owen and together they have four children; Emma Claire, Levi, Jace and Jeremiah.
Church Administrative Assistant Stephanie Hoop
Stephanie was elected to serve in 2010 as church clerk. Since then her position has expanded to include secretarial roles and event planning. She is now Administrative Assistant at GCOG. Stephanie is married to Rev. Lee Hoop and has three children: Ashley, Marissa and Andrew, and three grandchildren.
